LPG Gas Safety Course

Attendance gives staff information to understand the specific hazards associated with LPG, resulting in an assured workforce and a safer workplace.

Who is the course for?

This course is suitable for all those working with LPG and its associated equipment commonly used to power white line painters, tar-boilers, shrink wrap guns, heaters and blowtorches.

Certification

Certificates are valid for 3 years, after which a refresher course is recommended.
Proactive Gas Safety LTD are a recognised centre of the awarding organisation EAL.
This course is equivalent to 3 CPD learning hours.

Course Structure for LPG Gas Safety Course

Classroom Session (1.5 hours)

Interactive training on LPG gases and equipment with topics including:
User behaviour & perceptions
Gas properties & hazards
Flammable toxic & special gases
Cylinder identification & data
Gas equipment
Emergency procedures
Cylinder storage & handling
PPE & First aid
Legislation & Codes of Practice

Practical Session (allow approximately 1 hour)

Learners will be given the opportunity to undertake:
Before-use checks including leak checking
Regulator fitting
Manual handing of cylinders
