The Health & Safety Event 2018
What an exciting week last week was for Proactive Gas Safety…
Following on from the success of last year’s stand, we exhibited again at the Health and Safety Event NEC from 10-12th April. It was great to meet and chat with safety professionals from the industry, meet up with familiar faces and reach exciting new contacts.
As well as having the forum to talk about and answer questions about safe gas use, it presented us with an opportunity for us to understand some of the challenges our customers face. With so many issues arising under the H&S umbrella, such as Working at Heights, Evacuation and PPE requirements, we realise that Compressed Gas Safety is just one piece of a large puzzle. With that in mind, we shall continue to endeavour to make our training very easy to organise and complete.
The atmosphere at the NEC was vibrant and it was wonderful to feel part of this booming Industry with so many professionals who are as passionate as we are about the year ahead!
Welding World Awards
We were lucky enough to attend the Welding Worlds Awards Ceremony on Wednesday at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole hosted by Eamonn Holmes OBE. Rebecca, Matthew and two of our trainers Andy Vinnicombe and William Roffey enjoyed a wonderful evening celebrating the thriving welding industry in the UK.
The evening celebrated the best of the Welding Industry’s businesses and business people. We were pleased to be nominated for Best Training Provider and delighted to be finalists in this category.
PGS Commercial Director Helen Brewin was presented with a special award for services to the Industry and AWD (Association of Welding Distributors). The Awarding Panel felt that Helen’s contribution to the association and work to promote safety in the sector should not go unnoticed. Helen was unable to be at the event but Rebecca was very happy and proud to collect the award on her behalf.
