This training course delivered at your location through a blend of classroom & practical training, provides learners with an understanding of the hazards and properties of cryogenic gases used in industries such as medical, engineering, manufacturing & produce.

This course is suitable for all those working with cryogenic liquids and gases commonly used for scientific, industrial and medical applications.

This training is nationally accredited by EAL & provides 4.5 CPD learning hours.

Certification is available as a Nationally Accredited Level 3 Qualification.

Awarded by EAL the Level 3 Qualification is the the highest level of achievement available for compressed gas safety training in the UK – only available from PGS.

£895plus £85 per delegate
  • £525 if chosen as an additional module.  Pricing is fully inclusive of classroom & practical training.  No additional fees for travel within mainland UK

Classroom Session 3.5 hours

Interactive training on Cryogenic gases and equipment used in a laboratory environment with topics including:

  • User behaviour & perceptions
  • Incident case study
  • Gas properties
  • Hazards caused by cryogens: cold; asphyxiation; Oxygen enrichment; pressure
  • Carbon dioxide & dry ice
  • Functions of pressurised vessels
  • Ice plugs
  • Embrittlement
  • PPE & First aid

Practical Session allow approximately 1 hour

  • Decanting

The trainer will oversee this task performed by an experienced operator to ensure compliance with current safe procedures & practice.
