LPG Gases Safety for FLTs Training

Attendance gives staff information to understand the specific hazards associated with LPG cylinders used specifically to power FLT\'s, resulting in an assured workforce and a safer workplace.

Who is the course for?

Employees operating fork lift trucks fuelled by LPG cylinders. This course aims to ensure operators have sufficient understanding of the gas to change the cylinders in a safe manner.

Certification

This training is nationally accredited by EAL & provides 2.5 CPD learning hours

Course Structure for LPG Gases Safety for FLTs Training

Classroom Session (1.5 hours)

Interactive training on LPG gases and equipment with topics including:
User behaviour & perceptions
Gas properties & hazards
Cylinder storage & handling
Manual handling
Cylinder safety devices
Cylinders & fires
Emergency procedures
PPE & First aid
Legislation & Codes of Practice

Practical Session (allow approximately 1 hour)

Learners will be given the opportunity to undertake:
Practical demonstration and operation for safe changing and connecting up of a LPG cylinder to a FLT
Safe refuelling of a Fork Lift Truck.
Manual handing of cylinders
