Gas Charge Accumulator Safety Course

Attendance gives staff the information required to understand the specific hazards associated with the task of charging an accumulator with a compressed inert gas, including understanding relevant pressure systems regulations and correct pre-charge set up.

Who is the course for?

The accumulator safety course is suitable for employees who have the responsibility of charging gas loaded accumulators and specifically deals with the safety implications of charging the system with a compressed inert gas from a cylinder.

Certification

Certificates are valid for 3 years, after which a refresher course is recommended.

Proactive Gas Safety LTD are a recognised centre of the awarding organisation EAL.

This course is equivalent to 4 CPD learning hours.

Course Structure for Gas Charge Accumulator Safety Course

Classroom Session (3 hours)

Interactive training on the safe filling of gas loaded accumulators.
Overview of accumulators
Legislation & codes of practice
Relevant pressure systems regulations
Gas properties and associated hazards

Practical Session (allow approximately 1 hour)

Learners will be given the opportunity to undertake proper pre-charge procedure.
