This course is suitable for all those working with compressed gases in storage, transportation, handling and use of compressed & cryogenic gases including Propane, Nitrogen & Helium.

Certification

This training is nationally accredited by EAL & provides 4 CPD learning hours. ย You can choose to upgrade to a Level 3 QCF qualification (enquire at time of booking)

Classroom Session 2 hours

Interactive training on Compressed gases and equipment used in a laboratory environment with topics including:
Operator behaviours
Gas properties & hazards
Flammable toxic & special gases
Cylinder identification & data
Gas equipment
Emergency procedures
PPE
Cylinder storage & handling
Legislation & Codes of Practice

Practical Session allow approximately 1 hour

Learners will be given the opportunity to undertake:
Before-use checks including leak checking
Regulator fitting
Manual handing of cylinders

Oxy-Acetylene / Propane Gases Safety E-learning

This oxy-acetylene / propane gases safety training course provides learners with an understanding of the hazards and properties of oxy-fuel gases used in applications such as cutting, brazing, soldering & welding.

Open workshops are regularly delivered at our centrally located training academy in Cheshire and in partnership with distributors throughout the UK. This Refresher course is suitable for Inspectors who have attended a 2-Day PGS CP7 Gas Inspector workshop within the previous 3 years.
